Giant 6-foot-6 free agent defenseman joins Canadian team on a one year deal

The Calgary Flames announced on Tuesday that they've signed defenseman Jarred Tinordi to a one-year, two-way contract worth $800,000 per year.

Tinordi, 32, played for the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2023-24 season, where he recorded nine assists in 52 games.
Throughout his NHL career, Tinordi has played 205 games with the Montreal Canadiens, Arizona Coyotes, Nashville Predators, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, and Blackhawks, collecting 30 points (four goals and 26 assists).
Standing at six-foot-six and weighing 229 pounds, Tinordi was originally drafted 22nd overall by the Canadiens in 2010.
