Joe Pavelski, who recently retired after a successful NHL career, is already stepping into a new role in the league.
After nearly 20 years in the NHL, Pavelski retired this offseason, having played 1,332 games with the San Jose Sharks and Dallas Stars. Given his leadership and wealth of experience, it seemed likely he'd transition into a coaching or management role post-retirement. Now, a recent development suggests he may be doing just that.
Reports have surfaced that Pavelski was seen at the Pittsburgh Penguins training camp alongside GM Kyle Dubas and Assistant GM Jason Spezza, sparking speculation that he could join the Penguins staff in some capacity.
While it's not yet confirmed what specific role Pavelski might take, whether it's coaching, scouting, or an executive position, his extensive playoff experience and leadership make him a valuable asset. With Pittsburgh boasting some of the most seasoned players in the league, Pavelski's involvement would be a natural fit.
