Hockey Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux has shared a heartfelt message following the tragic passing of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.

Tributes from across the hockey world continue to pour in for the brothers, who were well-loved both on and off the ice.
On Sunday, Lemieux posted a statement on social media through his foundation, expressing his support for the Gaudreau family during this difficult time. He emphasized the lasting impact Johnny and Matthew had on the hockey community.
"The entire hockey world is here to support the Gaudreau family. Johnny and Matthew had such an amazing impact, both on and off the ice and far beyond hockey. We are all one big family. You will be missed, but your legacy lives.

― Mario Lemieux"
Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau tragically passed away on August 29th after being hit by an alleged drunk driver while riding their bikes in New Jersey. The accident happened as they were returning from their sister's wedding rehearsal dinner, with the wedding set for the following day.
The driver, Sean Higgins, has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and is currently in custody at the Salem County Correctional Facility. His next court date is set for Friday, September 13th.
Our thoughts remain with the Gaudreau family, their friends, and teammates during this difficult time.
