The NCAA season is coming to a close and the free agent activity has picked up. The most recent signing is Jaxon Nelson who has decided to sign with the Boston Bruins.
Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 220 pounds, Nelson, a forward, served as captain for the University of Minnesota during the 2023-24 season. He played in 39 games, notching 19 goals and 12 assists, totaling a career-best 31 points. Initially, he will join the Bruins' AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, on an amateur tryout contract before transitioning to the NHL with the main club next season.

"He has shown consistent growth throughout his time at the University of Minnesota and the Bruins are excited to have Jaxon join our organization.»
