The possibility of replacing current head coach Derek Lalonde has been discussed, with former St. Louis Blues coach Craig Berube emerging as a potential candidate.

Lalonde is currently in the second year of a 3-year contract with the Red Wings, boasting a record of 71-67-18 in 156 games. If Detroit opts for a coaching change, Berube's wealth of experience could be a valuable addition to the team.
