A player who was part of the 2018 Canadian World Junior team has inked a new deal.

Maxime Comtois Signs New NHL Contract

Maxime Comtois has reportedly signed a one-year two-way contract with the Carolina Hurricanes.
#Canes have signed free agent forward Max Comtois to a one-year, two-way contract. $775K NHL / $250K AHL. #CauseChaos
Comtois was part of the team that faced controversy following the World Juniors, but he himself has not been implicated in any allegations or charged in connection with the events.
As a former second-round pick, Comtois is expected to join the AHL and focus on reviving his career.
