As the hockey community mourns the loss of Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew, ticket scalpers are already taking advantage of the situation.
Gaudreau tragically passed away at the age of 31 after being struck by a drunk driver.
Fans are upset to see that scalpers have driven up ticket prices for the Calgary Flames vs. Columbus Blue Jackets game on December 3rd, which is already sold out. Tickets are now being resold at exorbitant prices, with the cheapest going for $170.40 at the press level.
This situation highlights the ongoing issue with Ticketmaster and other resale platforms, which often allow prices to be inflated by resellers, depriving genuine fans of affordable tickets. It's disheartening to see people exploiting such a tragic event for profit.
