The Edmonton Oilers have made a shocking and controversial decision to hire Stan Bowman as their General Manager. The team has been searching for a new GM since Ken Holland stepped down just before the NHL Draft. Many hoped Jeff Jackson, who served as interim GM, would take on the role permanently.

However, recent reports confirmed that the Oilers have chosen Stan Bowman as their new General Manager.
Hearing the Edmonton Oilers will hire Stan Bowman as GM todaymedia conference to be held sometime this morning.
The #Oilers have named Stan Bowman General Manager & Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations.
Bowman has been away from the hockey world for several years following a controversial exit. He was involved in covering up serious crimes committed against one of his players by a staff member, which led many fans and NHL insiders to call for his permanent ban.
Despite this, Bowman is now returning to the NHL with the Oilers. This decision is expected to cause significant outrage, similar to the backlash against Mitchell Miller and Mike Babcock in recent years, which forced teams to reconsider their decisions.
With Bowman back in the NHL, those who supported his return will be closely watched to see if he has truly learned and grown from his past mistakes, or if history will repeat itself.
