Commissioner Gary Bettman now have clarity as the NHL officially drops the Game 1 playoff schedule.
It's set. The Stanley Cup Playoffs begin Saturday.
After days of speculation, the league confirmed the opening slate, and it comes out fast with three games stacked across the day.
Ottawa Senators at Carolina Hurricanes opens things at 3:00.
Then Minnesota Wild at Dallas Stars hits at 5:30.
Philadelphia Flyers at Pittsburgh Penguins closes the night at 8:00.
That's a strong start. Different styles, different stakes, all right away.
It also confirms what teams have been preparing for.
No slow build. No soft entry.

Sunday brings even more weight.
Montreal Canadiens face Tampa Bay Lightning, while Boston Bruins take on Buffalo Sabres and Nashville Predators meet Vegas Golden Knights.
Start times are still being finalized, but the matchups are locked.
That's where the bracket comes alive.
For fans, it means wall-to-wall hockey across the weekend. Afternoon puck drops, prime-time battles, and immediate pressure on every contender.
For players, it means no time to adjust.
Carolina enters with 113 points and home ice. Dallas brings 112 points into its series. Pittsburgh defends home ice with 98 points.
Those numbers matter, but not as much as execution now.
Because Game 1 sets the tone.
Win it, and you control the series early. Drop it, and you're chasing.
That's especially true in tight matchups like Bruins and Sabres, where Boston comes in with 100 points against Buffalo's 109.
Or Canadiens and Lightning, where Montreal faces a Tampa team that posted 106 points.
Across the West, matchups are still locking into place after the final night of the regular season.
That's where teams like Edmonton, Los Angeles, and Anaheim are still fighting for position.
And that adds another layer.
Some clubs already know their opponent. Others are waiting until the final buzzer to find out who's next.
Either way, the calendar is now real.
Saturday puck drop. Full weekend slate. No turning back.
The playoffs are here.
