The Edmonton Oilers have officially signed goaltender Connor Ungar to a two-year entry-level contract, as announced by the team on Monday.

Ungar, aged 22, is fresh off his debut season with the Brock Badgers in the OUA, where he appeared in 26 regular-season games. He concluded the season with an impressive record of 20 wins, 6 losses, and a 2.15 goals-against average (GAA), along with a stellar .932 save percentage. His remarkable performance not only contributed to the team's record-breaking success but also earned him the prestigious OUA West Rookie of the Year award.

During the postseason, Ungar played in six games, maintaining a 3-3 record, with a 2.33 GAA and a .928 save percentage. Despite the Badgers' efforts, they exited the 2024 University Cup early after facing the undefeated UNB Reds in the first round.
Prior to his time in the OUA, Ungar showcased his talents in the WHL, where he played a total of 87 games over five seasons with three different teams. Throughout his WHL career, he achieved a combined record of 53 wins, 20 losses, and 2 shootout losses, boasting a 2.57 GAA and a .917 save percentage.
Ungar is now slated to join Edmonton's AHL affiliate team in Bakersfield.
