Arizona Coyotes are relocating with verbal agreement in place

The Arizona Coyotes have been rumoured to be on the move for quite some time, and on Wednesday, it was seemingly confirmed in a blockbuster report.

According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, not only have the NHL begun the practice of moving the Arizona Coyotes to Salt Lake City, but they have confirmed the relocation to Coyotes players.

Sources say #Yotes players have been informed that something of a "verbal" agreement is in place to relocate to Salt Lake City, but we've received pushback on that characterization of talks.

Nonetheless, this is well down the track. Let's see what happens next.

This came just moments after Seravalli revealed the two sides were deep in negotiations to take the NHL to Salt Lake City for the first time, with just a few more hurdles to overcome before making it official.

Depending on how quickly things get done, Salt Lake City may make their NHL debut in 2024-25, an incredibly quick turnaround given that Arizona were looking to secure their future home just this past week, but for now, it seems inevitable.
