The Boston Bruins have announced a new controversial arena policy and female fans are outraged.
Women Are Furious Over New Boston Bruins' New Arena Policy
Starting February 17, TD Garden is rolling out new security measures with EvolvTechnology screenings. To speed up entry, they advise against bringing bags. Bags larger than 6" x 4" x 1.5" won't be allowed.
"UPDATE: Effective Feb. 17, new @EvolvTechnology security screening will be implemented at TD Garden. To ensure a swifter entry process, we strongly discourage guests from bringing bags. Bags larger than 6» x4» x 1.5» will not be permitted. "
Critics, especially women, are slamming this move. It effectively bans purses, essential for hygiene products.
"As a woman who needs certain products that the TD Garden doesn't supply for free, this is absolutely ridiculous. My phone is the size that yall want our new «bags» to be."
"For the love of God, get women in your/NHL's decision-making processes."
"This doesn't work for anyone who experiences a period but sure lol"
Adding to the frustration, the policy was enacted before TD Garden officially announced it.
