Blackhawks Rookie Connor Bedard Exposes His True Colors In Latest Video

The Chicago Blackhawks were in a tough position as a franchise a year ago. The team was still dealing with the fallout from Kyle Beach sharing his story with the world, as well as the connected lawsuit. Furthermore, the team was among the worst in the league. Jonathan Toews retired and Patrick Kane had been traded to the New York Rangers. Then the team won the draft lottery and in came Connor Bedard to save the team.

Despite the fact that Bedard was injured in New Jersey earlier this year he continues to lead all rookies in goals and points. Last night he picked up a single assist, his 55th point in 57 games played.

That being said, the rookie center has taken huge strides off the ice as well, as indicated by his recent actions.

The rookie sensation was seen giving out pucks before one of his recent games. In this specific instance, he was trying to get a puck to one fan in particular. When his first attempt was taken by another fan he made sure to grab another puck, staying behind to make sure the right person got the puck.

This is far from the first time Bedard has spent a little extra time making fans happy this season. He has been seen multiple times throughout the season giving away pucks to fans in special moments. Furthermore, the rookie has shown his massive competitive drive this season as he is constantly the first one to take the ice for practice and the last one to leave.

All of this points to the fact that Bedard could very well be the next captain of the Blackhawks. It seems like only a matter of time at this point.
