The Chicago Blackhawks conducted their exit interviews on Saturday, but veteran defenseman Seth Jones seems to have left a sour taste in some fans' mouths with his remarks about his tenure in Chicago and the team's direction.
After completing his third season on the Blackhawks' blue line, Jones expressed disappointment at being part of a team undergoing a long-term rebuild. He indicated that this wasn't what he had anticipated when he signed his deal with former Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman in the summer of 2021. Jones suggested that if he could have foreseen the future, he might have reconsidered joining the team.
These comments, especially coming from the highest-paid player on the roster, haven't been well received by some Chicago fans, who are still reeling from a challenging season.
