According to head coach Pete DeBoer, defenseman Joel Hanley has officially been placed on waivers.

Hanley has sat out as a healthy scratch for half of Dallas' 16 games since January 25th, so this move is not a surprise. If he clears waivers without being claimed, expect the 32-year-old defenseman, who has only managed three assists in 32 NHL games this year, to be sent down to AHL Texas.
