Exciting news for Toronto Maple Leafs fans tonight! Insider Elliotte Friedman reports that Brad Treliving and the Maple Leafs have signed top NCAA free agent Jacob Quillan.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are on track for a Stanley Cup playoff run in a few weeks. Today, news has emerged that should give fans a ton of excitement for the future. According to Elliotte Friedman, the Maple Leafs have signed college free agent Jacob Quillan from Quinnipiac.
There is word Toronto is signing Dartmouth, NS native Jacob Quillan out of Quinnipiac. Won a national championship last year, lots of competition for his services this year.
Jacob Quillan was a key part of the Quinnipiac team that won the National Championship last season. In his junior season this year, he had 46 points in 39 games. At 22 years old, Jacob Quillan will add skill and depth to the Maple Leafs prospect pool for next season.
$875K cap hit. 2-year ELC beginning next season, so expect Quillan to finish the season on an ATO with the Marlies.
