Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid addressed reporters on Monday regarding the incident at the end of Game 3 against the Vancouver Canucks.
McDavid refrained from elaborating on the end-of-game altercation involving Canucks defenseman Carson Soucy, simply labeling it as "part of a heated series." However, he expressed his enjoyment of the physicality in the all-Canadian matchup, describing it as "fun to be a part of."
"It's just part of a heated series."

The incident occurred as the Canucks sealed a 4-3 victory, with Soucy shoving McDavid behind the net. McDavid retaliated with a slash, prompting Canucks defenseman Nikita Zadorov to cross-check him toward Soucy, resulting in Soucy's cross-check making contact with McDavid's face.
Although Soucy received a minor penalty at the end of Game 3, McDavid has mostly been contained by the Canucks in the second round, tallying one goal and two assists in three games. In the first round against the Los Angeles Kings, he notched a goal and 14 points in five games.
Game 4 is slated for Tuesday in Edmonton, with the Canucks leading the second-round series 2-1.
