It's official, the New Jersey Devils have dropped the bombshell of news that star forward Jack Hughes will be out for the rest of the season with a season-ending injury that will require surgery.
The forward has had an injury ridden season, starting the year on fire with 22 points in his first nine games. The line was finally drawn when he got injured in the match versus the Washington Capitals on April 7th, injuring his shoulder.
#NEWS: In recent conversations with Jack, his family and representatives, and the Devils' athlete care staff, it was determined that Jack should be held out of game action for the rest of this season and proceed with shoulder surgery.
He will undergo the surgery on April 10 and is expected to make a full recovery to be available for 2024 New Jersey Devils Training Camp.
The New Jersey Devils are having a down year, currently sitting 7th in the metropolitan with playoff hopes expiring with a slim chance. Jack Hughes will have the entirety of the off-season to recover and guide the Devils back to playoff desires and become a contending team once again.
