The Toronto Maple Leafs have made an emergency roster adjustment by officially calling up defenseman Marshall Rifai from the Toronto Marlies ahead of tonight's game against the Florida Panthers.
According to Leafs PR, 26-year-old defenseman Marshall Rifai will be joining team for backup purposes.

Rifai has appeared in two NHL games this season, registering 0 points. In 49 games with the Marlies, he has recorded 2 goals, 15 assists, and 17 points, showcasing his defensive capabilities.
Originally from Quebec, Rifai is in his second professional season after playing four years at Harvard in the NCAA. Known for his physicality, he averages over a penalty minute per game with the Marlies.
Whether Rifai will see action tonight depends on the availability of Morgan Rielly, who has been sidelined for the past three games with an upper-body injury.
