The future of Golden Knights' Jonathan Marchessault in Las Vegas has been leaked by his agent, the renowned Pat Brisson.

Brisson discussed about Marchessault's contract talks with the Vegas Golden Knights, as the player's current deal is set to expire after the current season.

Renowned player agent Pat Brisson opens up on Jonathan Marchessault's future with the Vegas Golden Knights, as general manager Kelly McCrimmon won't comment on contract talks.

The Golden Knights' general manager Kelly McCrimmon mentionned in an interview that he wouldn't comment on Marchessault's and other players' contract negotiations right now, as the focus is on the rest of the season and the playoffs.

"At this point in the regular season, we are all working to help our club qualify for the playoffs. The status of player contracts is not something we'll comment on, as we continue to keep our focus on the ice."

Pat Brisson, Jonathan Marchessault's agent, revealed that the player doesn't mind waiting. After winning the Conn Smythe trophy and the Stanley Cup, Marchessault's production hasn't dropped. He's currently having the best season of his career and will certainly play an important role in the playoffs; something Brisson doesn't mind bringing up:

"He's OK waiting. Of course, you would rather have a deal done. Sometimes the reason you don't have a deal done is because you're not there yet. He's been in Vegas ever since its inception seven years ago. He likes it there, been producing, won the Cup last year, won the Conn Smythe.

"He's having a hell of a season this year. His production is not going down."

"Vegas has been a great place for him. It's been such a mutually beneficial relationship from the beginning. His first wish is to definitely work something out with the Golden Knights."

"We're not concerned. It's a business at the end of the day. We have to look at this way, and we do understand how sometimes these things would go, but we also believe players (who) keep producing, keeping doing well, good things will happen. Hopefully, it will be with the Golden Knights at one point between now and July 1."

It looks evident that Brisson is hopeful to get a good deal for Marchessault in Vegas. However, with all the recent additions, it won't be easy to manage the financial aspects involved.

Marchessault will generate interest from other teams across the League, and if he wants to pursue money, he could get more elsewhere.

But he sure seems to love Vegas and probably wouldn't mind accepting a lower salary to stay there.

We can't wait to see how that situation will unfold in the coming months.
