Tom Wilson of the Washington Capitals is facing an in-person hearing with the department of player safety for high-sticking Toronto Maple Leafs forward Noah Gregor.
According to Sportsnet, this type of hearing could result in a suspension of more than five games. Wilson, known for his physical play, has been suspended multiple times before.

Wilson obviously has a lengthy past file of transgressions.
The incident happened during the third period of Wednesday's game when Wilson's stick hit Gregor in the face, earning Wilson a four-minute penalty. Until the hearing takes place, Wilson will remain suspended.
Wilson has had a productive season for the Capitals, playing in 66 games and tallying 17 goals and 32 points.
