We regret to inform you that we have suffered another heart-wrenching loss in our hockey community, with the passing of Braydin Lewis at an incredibly young age. Braydin, who was only 19 years old, had been battling cancer and sadly passed away on Saturday night.
Braydin was a talented young defenseman who played in the United States Hockey League (USHL) for three seasons, representing the Metro Jets. During his time in the league, he demonstrated immense potential and worked hard to develop his skills. In his previous season, Braydin scored a remarkable 9 goals and 45 points in just 37 games, which was a testament to his dedication to the sport and his team.
Unfortunately, Braydin's cancer diagnosis meant that he was unable to play as many games this season. Despite this, he still managed to impress his team with his determination and skill, scoring 3 goals and an assist in just 6 games.
The loss of such a promising young player has deeply saddened our hockey community, and we extend our deepest sympathies to Braydin's family, friends, and teammates.
