Matthew Phillips Hits The Waiver Wire Again
Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports that Phillips was placed on waivers on Monday by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Placed on NHL waivers today: Joel Hanley (DAL), Aaron Dell (LA) and Matthew Phillips (PIT).
Phillips joined the Penguins after being claimed off waivers from the Capitals on February 16th. Since then, he has played in three games. Throughout the season, spanning 30 contests between Pittsburgh and Washington, the 25-year-old forward has scored one goal, accumulated five points, and taken 20 shots on net.
