Evander Kane has been scrutinized for his inability to gel with his teammates throughout the regular season. However, amid his clear rise to the challenge in the Oilers' playoff series against the Kings, this NHL enforcer still managed to blast a critic who misinformed the public about his character.

It is no secret among the NHL and its fans that Evander Kane has trouble getting along with other players, regardless of his team. However, this Edmonton Oilers defenseman has noticeably improved in the team's first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings. In their most recent game, Kane pulled off a Gordie Howe hat trick for his team, helping them take back the lead at 2-1.

"On a Friday night in Los Angeles, we were reminded of Evander Kane's true worth, as he finished Game 3 with a Gordie Howe hat trick in a dominant 6-1 Oilers win."

Unfortunately for Kane, his ability to produce did not shield him from criticism. This enforcer was met with the ire of a Sportsnet columnist who ridiculed the player for his affinity for drama in a now-deleted video.

"As has been the case all of Kane's career, too much drama, boys. Too much drama around Evander Kane. Useless drama. I'll do what every player on every other team does. Yeah, maintenance day, I'm gonna try hard tomorrow. This is needless drama that you don't need starting playoffs, that you don't want in your dressing room. The guys we talk to about Evander Kane running his course - He doesn't run his course as a player, he runs his course as a bringer of drama."

This is not the first time Spector has antagonized the player since the start of the playoffs. Many fans believe his recent feud with the player came after a snarky response and correction to an interview question this past week.

"In case you're wondering why Mark Spector is viciously attacking Kane's character recently:

Evander Kane laughed at Mark, didn't feed his narrative and put him in his place a couple of days ago for not even knowing that he was never on the Oilers Powerplay."

However, Kane ultimately had the last laugh. In a recent interview, Mark Spector asked the player what makes him play his best hockey this time of year. Instead of answering authentically, Kane seized the opportunity to blast the columnist for accusing him of being too dramatic.

"Just the drama of it all. Just brings the best out of me."

Evander Kane is expected to play in Edmonton's fourth game in their first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings. Hopefully, for his teammates, he can keep the drama down but the intensity high enough to remain in the lead.
