It seems that the starting goaltenders for game 2 of the Boston Bruins vs Toronto Maple Leafs matchup have been decided by head coaches Jim Montgomery and Sheldon Keefe.

Ilya Samsonov is set to start as goaltender for the Toronto Maple Leafs in their second game against the Boston Bruins, despite his tough performance in Saturday night's 5-1 loss. Coach Sheldon Keefe appears to trust Samsonov to defend the net for game 2.
"Ilya Samsonov is doing his usual starters routine and is the projected starter for Game 2 vs Boston."
Samsonov has faced struggles this season but has shown resilience in bouncing back. In his last three games, he allowed a total of 15 goals. However, he remains confident in his abilities and is focused on continuing to improve.
Samsonov on allowing 15 goals in last 3 GP:

"I forgot about this. Keep on working. It doesn't mean after 3 games I get some bad goalie. We see in the last 3 months what's going on. I believe in myself, in my skill. I believe in everybody in this room"
Meanwhile, the starting goaltender for the Bruins remains uncertain. Coach Jim Montgomery is keeping his decision under wraps, adding an element of mystery to the matchup. Despite repeated inquiries, Montgomery remains playful, refusing to disclose whether Jeremy Swayman or Linus Ullmark will start.
"I don't like to keep anyone in the dark," Montgomery quipped, before jokingly hinting at the starting goalie's name through a word game.
His reluctance to reveal the starting goaltender reflects strategic gamesmanship, aiming to keep opponents, including the Maple Leafs, guessing until game time.
While the Bruins may have their decision made, they're not divulging any details, maintaining a competitive advantage. Fans and analysts alike will have to wait until game time to discover who will defend the Bruins' net.
"I don't tell my wife, I'm not going to tell you," joked Montgomery.

In the meantime, Montgomery's playful approach adds an element of anticipation to the matchup, leaving everyone eager to learn the starting goaltender's identity.
Who do you think will win game 2?
