The Corey Perry scandal has just resurfaced in Chicago despite being two months ago it is backed.
Perry Scandal Has Resurfaced in Chicago
Perry and his scandal has been deemed by The Athletic's compilation of the "10 biggest hokcey stories of 2023". This scandal has lead to Perry no longer being on the Blackhawks and seemingly disappear from the league.
Corey Perry has released a statement about the incident which has brought the whole controversy back to light.
"I would like to sincerely apologize to the entire Chicago organization, including ownership, management, coaches, trainers, employees and my teammates," Perry said. "I would also like to apologize to my fans and my family. I am embarrassed, and I have let you all down."
Perry has begun seeking help with "alcohol abuse" and mental health to help combat what he is going to through. All though we have no idea what actually happened it seems it was big enough to help Perry get back on the right track.
The Post Scandal Chicago Blackhawks
After Perry was removed from the Blackhawks they went and acquire Anthony Beauvillier from the Vancouver Canucks. Although without Perry, Bedard still has one great mentor and former NHL captain in Nick Foligno to help him through.
Bedard has been the best player on the Blackhawks this season having 15 goals and 33 points in his first 36 games. The Blackhawks however sit 31st in the league with a terrible record of 11-23-2.
Many fans thought the team would be better than they are this year. It is clear the Blackhawks are still a bottom feeder in the league and will be looking for another top pick in the draft.
