The investigation into the 2018 WJC team Canada incident has gotten to the point where we are officially waiting for the legal process to do its job. That being said, one of the players being charged was seen waiting in style as he posted as if he was on vacation.

McLeod Faces Backlash For Vacation Post On Social media

The player was none other than Devils forward Michael McLeod, who is the sole individual facing multiple charges for his role in the 2018 incident. Since he made the post, several fans have pointed out how disgusting his behavior is considering the seriousness of the charges he is facing.
Michael McLeod is on vacation with his girlfriend. His girlfriend had the audacity to post this with the caption «DND» It must be so hard being charged with 2 counts of s***** a***** and awaiting your next court date.

Both of them are equal pieces of garbage. I'm disgusted 🤢

Fan Calls For Changes To Canadian Legal System Following McLeod Post

Mcleod's vacation was especially troublesome considering the fact that he left Canada for it. Considering the fact that he is currently awaiting trial, it seems unreasonable that he is allowed to leave the country.
TW SA:

The fact that this piece of unwashed a** was even allowed to cross the border, fly internationally is a disgrace.

Our laws in Canada still allow him to live a life of luxury. It's gross.

We need to rethink what we're doing here.

Unfortunately, it will take more than a couple of disgruntled social media posts to get the laws changed. Regardless, The New Jersey Devils will miss McLeod's presence strongly. The center has 10 goals and 19 points in 45 games this season and his advanced stats indicate that he was one of the most valuable players on the team. However, he has most likely played his last game in the NHL.
